Xenith Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Systems Administrator to deliver critical enterprise reference data to enhance command and control (C2), logistics, transportation, deployment, and financial systems. Xenith provides full lifecycle IT services including systems engineering, software development, database administration, cybersecurity, system sustainment, data governance, and customer support.

Responsibilities
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the sustainment and secure operation of TRDM's enterprise applications and systems, including managing virtual machines, performing patching, security hardening, backup and recovery, load balancing, configuration management, and vulnerability remediation. The role supports both classified (SIPRNet) and unclassified (NIPRNet) environments and ensures compliance with DoD standards in coordination with AMC enclave personnel. Additionally, the Systems Administrator leads TRDM's migration to a government-approved cloud environment and provides ongoing cloud system support, including automated deployments and operational troubleshooting. Other duties include maintaining system stability and connectivity, optimizing network software, supporting installations and upgrades across local and remote environments, and implementing networking best practices for performance and fault tolerance.

Education Requirements
  • BS or BA degree OR four (4) additional years of related experience.

  • IAT Level II: Security+ CE
  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • AWS Certified Database – Specialty
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
    • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
    • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
    • Oracle Certified Professional Database Administration 2019
    • Oracle Certified Professional System Administration
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2020 Certified Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: SQL 2016 Database Administration
    • Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher 12c R1: Fundamentals
    • Oracle Planning 202x Certified Implementation Specialist
    • Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle WebLogic Server 12c Administrator

Minimum Years of Experience
  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience

Required Skills
  • User Account and Access Management – Experience managing user accounts across NIPRNet and SIPRNet, including provisioning, password resets, and access permissions for TRDM infrastructure.
  • System Administration of Virtualized and Cloud Environments – Proficiency in administering systems on VMware and DoD-authorized cloud platforms, with experience in patching and system updates.
  • Incident Response and Service Request Resolution – Ability to manage Tier I and II support tickets, troubleshoot user issues, and log resolution activities using government ITSM systems.
  • System Monitoring and Backup/Recovery Support – Skilled in monitoring system performance, performing scheduled backups/restores, and supporting failover and recovery for mission continuity.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in DoD Secure Network Environments (NIPR/SIPR) – Familiarity with system administration in classified/unclassified environments, including STIG compliance and cross-domain operations.
  • Automation and Scripting Proficiency – Ability to use PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate administrative functions such as patching, log collection, and system maintenance.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Service Desk Best Practices – Understanding of ITIL service management for handling incidents, changes, and problems in a structured, customer-focused support model.
