Job Description:
This contract supports the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) by procuring, installing, and maintaining brand-name NetApp hardware and software to enhance the agency’s enterprise storage infrastructure. The scope includes delivery, configuration, and integration of specified NetApp solutions, along with manufacturer-certified maintenance, updates, and technical support to ensure optimal system performance, security compliance, and mission readiness. This effort ensures DLA’s storage environment remains reliable, high-performing, and fully aligned with federal and DoD standards, enabling uninterrupted operations and the secure management of critical data.
The Senior Application Programmer will serve as the Sustainment Lead or Sustainment Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide expert-level guidance in sustainment life cycle management for program and project operations. The role involves analyzing functional business applications and design specifications across key areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. Responsibilities include developing block diagrams and logic flowcharts, translating detailed designs into software solutions, and performing the full software development lifecycle—design, coding, testing, debugging, and refinement—to deliver high-quality products. The position requires preparing comprehensive program-level and user-level documentation, enhancing software performance and efficiency, and providing technical direction to programmers to meet project deadlines. The SME will also devise and modify procedures to address complex problems, considering system capabilities, performance constraints, and desired outcomes.
Required Experience in years:
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience including:
- Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.
- Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low-Code/No-Code Development Platform models.
- Experience using low-code/no-code business process modeling notation (BPMN) tools.
- Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models.
- Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development.
- Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
