IT Systems Administrator
Xenith Solutions is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join our team in support of a government contract for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
As a member of the team, you will support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). The scope of work for this requirement is to develop, deliver, test, field, and maintain applications within an iterative software construction methodology supporting designated AMC portfolio of applications. Services and products being procured are referred to as Agile Application Development in total. Services will be provided in the form of technical and support tasks associated with Government projects, programs, applications, and infrastructure. The overarching goal is to leverage iterative sustainment and development best practices within the framework of Government policies and procedures focused on Mobility Mission Planning and Scheduling.
Responsibilities:
The Senior System Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing an organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role involves administering servers, networks, and systems, while implementing best practices for system configuration, security, and backup procedures. Key duties include managing user access, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and executing backup and disaster recovery strategies. The Senior System Administrator also oversees system upgrades, documents configurations, and ensures compliance with security standards like NIST and ISO. Additionally, they collaborate with teams to support business needs and manage IT projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in system administration, managing enterprise-level infrastructure.
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Must have favorably adjudicated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) at time of proposal submission.
