Lead Systems Administrator
Overview: Primary duties will be in the support of Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) supporting the design, plan, test, implementation, and sustainment of an Enterprise network micro-segmentation software application solution. This is a security solution that divides a network into smaller, isolated segments to enhance security and reduce the attack surface.
Responsibilities: The IT Technical Lead is responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and implementation of software solutions in alignment with government standards and best practices. This role involves collaborating with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define software requirements and project goals while providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members to promote continuous learning. The lead reviews existing software systems for enhancement opportunities, ensures adherence to software system life cycle methodologies and troubleshoots technical issues to provide timely support. Additionally, they oversee the integration of new solutions with existing systems, maintain comprehensive documentation, and stay updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements to software processes.
Required Experience in years: Five (5) years relevant DoD experience

Certification Requirements:
Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or IAT III (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, or SSCP)
At least one of the following:
- CCSA, Check Point Certified Systems Administrator
- CCSE, Check Point Certified Systems Engineer
- CCNA, CISCO Certified Networking Associate
- CCNP, CISCO Certified Network Professional
- CCIE, CISCO Certified Internetwork Expert
- Illumio Core Specialist or Expert
- AWS (Certified Solutions Architect, Security, SysOps Admin)
- Azure (Certified Admin)
- Microsoft (Certified Architect SQL, Windows Master, Expert, Associate, IT Professional Admin)
REQUIRED Skills:
- Working knowledge of host-based Firewall. Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software. Working knowledge of Cybersecurity Best Practices.
- In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations and moderate knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders. Comprehensive knowledge of DOD and DLA security regulations, guidelines and policies, to include, but not limited to, IA standards. Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of host-based firewalls, to include but not limited to the management server and other product related items.
